Listed below are the assessment tools Child Care Aware® of North Dakota consultants use most often when working with child care programs.

  • North Dakota Early Learning Standards are research-based, measurable descriptions of the things young children are expected to know and be able to do at each age and stage of development. These guidelines provide parents, teachers, caregivers and policy makers with shared expectations for young children's learning and provide common language for measuring progress toward achieving these goals

  • A developmental screening is a quick and simple check of how your child is growing and developing. It is a time for you to ask questions about development and share information about your child.

Classroom Assessment and Scoring System (CLASS) measures the interactions between adults and children as a way to improve children’s academic achievement and social skill development.
