A basic principle in the field of early care and education is that when you treat children as if they are strong, intelligent, and kind, they are far more likely to behave in strong, intelligent, kind ways. They are more likely to learn and thrive and succeed. In an anti-bias program, children learn to be proud of themselves and of their families, to respect human differences, to recognize bias, and to speak up for what is right. This course will introduce you to anti-bias education and give you ways to implement it in your program. This online, instructor-led course includes weekly chat sessions, message board postings, as well as reading and writing assignments.
